Iraq the cursed land??
Ah the new yr n this being the first post of the yr, so many big challenges ahead in dis yr n most important of al i shld keep this post goin... its not a resolution kinda thing for not many resolutions are wel finished.. so i wil try my very best to keep d posts comin!!
well y this post on iraq on start up of the yr?? the other day i was watchin the the highlighted events of the 2006 in as many news channels on new yr day.. in that prog the event tat hogged d lime light happnd to b tat of the Execution of saddam... but tats not wat am gonna talk abt.. there in tat prog whn they showed d casuality rate evr since the us started its so called war on terror against iraq i was stunned it was 58000 approx.. n counter keeps ticking the moment evn as i post this blog.. then i was referrring to the history of iraq tat nite i was surprised to c tat dis was not new to dis country at al!!
Iraq formerly called as Mesopotamia(sounds lyk v hav heard it sum wher ryt?? ya in history ofcourse) ,it formed d home to many popular cultures most popular of them happens to b the sumerian civilization.. hence it got d name "Cradle of Civilization" the traditional mesopotamian culture was leading the other cultures once upon a time..Once upon a time in Mesopotamia it was..
Then started the rampages...it was first invaded by Cyrrus the great.. then followed by the invasion of Alexander the great..after tat it was under greek rule for more than 2 centuries..then the Iranian ppl called as parthenians annexed d region followed by persian century whic lasted for 9 centuries!!!
Then islam spread thru out the world.. it spread thru iraq also..it was d umayyads then who wer in control of prime city Baghdad..Baghdad happnd to b d leading city of iraq for a long time..Then baghdad was lost in a see saw struggle between ottoman turks n mongols but turks reigned supreme in the end..and ottoman reign was till ww1 where they joined d axis powers..if u think this is d end.. its not..
After the world war iraq became UK s mandate.. then after d ww ottaman empire was split into iraq..palestine..saudi n yemen.. then after some time it got independence frm UK then after a series of struggles.. internal struggles some of whic were aided by soviet(i dont wanna bore u wit historical facts n nos), it had various leaders..then after long last Saddam took helm in 80s til the US invasion of iraq in 2k3..
Saddam recently executed al of sudden for genocide, was the one person who has made wat v cal as iraq presently, i am not spkin on d side of saddam here but in a country whic has as many minority communities like Kurds, Assyrians, Mandeans, Iraqi Turkmen, Shabaks and Roma in tat kind of reign he needed to do a dictatorial rule.. he also did so many atrocities but the fact tat he resurrecated iraq to newer levels cant b objected..
so tat was d story til,u knw who invaded iraq.. wat was the reason??america stated iraq was invaded in March 2003 with the reasons that Iraq had not abandoned its nuclear and chemical weapons development program according to United Nations resolutions. The justifications given for invasion included purported Iraqi government links to Al Qaeda, claims that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, the opportunity to remove an oppressive dictator from power, and the bringing of democracy to Iraq, did they find ne weapon?? or did they establish democracy after al?? god only knws..
i wanna make one pt loud n clear.. well evry1 in d world raised their objections for d attack on twin towers.. well no country opposed d move of US on iraq n d fact is v hav more casualities in iraq than v had @ twin towers.. be it d twin tower or the casualities in iraq..the value of life is still d same..
as for d twin tower attack US got it bcoz they wer d ones who wer growin those terrorists in afghanistan against soviet!! i dunno how many of ppl readin dis post myt hav watched Rambo 3 film whic was set durin d cold war regime.. in tat film @ d end the b4 the credits the dedication is made as dis "This Film is dedicated to the gallant ppl of Afghanistan".. At tat time US n Afghanistan happnd to b allies against soviet.. US wer d ones who made osama wat he is presently!!
Then after tat v knw d story.. US demolished afghanistan completely...so the twin tower attack was al bcoz of d fault of US n US only.. but now americans hav made their pt clearly.. if they wanna exploit ne country they can do it wit a valid reason.. they can blow a country away sayin tat "their machine tried to neutralise a nuclear weapon in tat country which was hidden frm d sights of others and its dangerous to the entire world" n throwin an atom bomb @ tat country!!! their thanjavur doll happens to UN!! wat a bummer!! whn does ne one stand upto them??

dude wake up: exploiting a sovereign nation itself is a crime. once Bush and Blair done with there terms in office,they could be triend for war crimes in some islamic country. Really nice way to describe a atom bomb.Good going
May be America was responsible for One "OSAMA" but there are numerous osamas in our own country. You can get the statistics on how many people were killed in Iraq, but nobody even bothers about how many people are being killed everyday in J&K and how many more are being targeted across the country.
I guess the world only focuses on wealthy nations like US. I didn't hear any protest by the UN after the Mumbai blasts. I don't hear them even talk about how terrorists enter from POK side every day (as many as 600 terrorists are suspected to have infiltrated into India over the past 4 months) and disrupt our lives. On the one hand they talk about peace and on the other hand they maintain silence when US gifts Pakistan "fighter planes". UN always had a step-mother attitude towards a lot of countries. Iraq happens to be just one of the many.
Countries like India who probably might want to protest against US have more serious problems of their own to deal with.
