Ghost Rider!!!
Yet another hectic week passed by, life was tougher without internet cnxion i love.. still longing to get it back.. but the weekend makes you forget the tougher weekends even,Wanted to watch patchai killi muthu charam last weekend but missed it but this weekend i was determined not to miss the Ghost Rider for Nicolas cage is one of my most fav actors... was looking for that film for couple of weeks or so..

Thanks to Aravind(My roommate) we got tickets at sathyam,nothing like premiere show in sathyam theatres , i have been to five films ever in theatres since i got to chennai and all happened to be in sathyam and this was my fifth film.. the way in which we got to theatre deserves a mention, the show was scheduled at 10 in morning but we lazy bones got up @ 9.. took half hour for us to dress up and trouble continued when we boarded the wrong bus and with 15 minutes left to the show we were stranded in guindy, then we boarded an auto which stopped in 5 signal stops then we made it to the show only @ 10.10 mainly because of the auto driver who had few shortcuts up his sleeve..
We were feeling bad about missing the initial 10 mts,but we missed out the adventures of young blaze and we entered the theatre when blaze a motorcycle stunt driver makes a deal with mephistopheles by exchanging his soul to cure his father's cancer but mephistopheles kills his father after curing him of cancer saying the deal was to cure the cancer and he dint want his father to be between them and he erases blaze's memory completely saying he will use him when the time comes,this forces him to abandon his girlfriend roxanne simpson.
Then years later we see blaze has grown into a famous stunt man(Nicolas cage) who makes daredevil stunts and breaks record after record,Blaze meets Roxanne again when she comes to interview him for the television news she works for, and they renew their relationship.
At that moment Blackheart the son of devil mephistopheles comes to earth and forms a union with 3 more angels in the earth to find out the contract which contained the souls collected by the previous ghost rider who fearing giving that souls to mephistopheles might be risky and hid himself from the devil, usual stuff getting the contract would give him devastating powers!! then mephistopheles encounters the group who challenge him but Mephistopheles then vows to send Johnny as his new Ghost Rider to kill Blackheart and the fallen angels. Mephistopheles goes to Johnny and explains that Johnny survived all of his bike accidents because the deal they made years ago that caused him to become the newest Ghost Rider prevents him from dying, as he now works for the Devil.
Then Blaze transforms to Ghost rider and the remainder of the film has some stunning special effects to beautifully display the fights between ghost rider and Black Heart,Then judging from the climax film is all set for atleast a couple of sequels, nicolas cage has done his part really well in this film and he has voluntarily nominated himself for playing this role which was initially scripted to be played by johny depp!!! since Ghost rider happened to be one of favourite characters of Nicolas cage himself,eva mendes is as beautiful as ever in this film if anyone wants to have some breathtaking special effects and action Ghost rider is the film for you..No logic..Only Action..For nicolas cage fans one more good news is that National Treasure Book of secrets is gonna release at the end of this year am really looking forward to it.. Summing up the Ghost rider film reminded me of one of my favourite ballads i studied during the school days viz The Ballad of Highway man by Alfred noyes, you can find the Ballad here
And still on a winter's night, they say, when the wind is in the trees,
When the moon is a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas,
When the road is a gypsy's ribbon looping the purple moor,
The highwayman comes riding--
Riding--riding--

i liked the film very much and offcourse i love the ballad..hope you like it too..

i am not big on movies though...
i donno....certainly didnt expect di caprio to die the way he did....certainly not a tamil movie:))
