License to kill and all that good stuff!!!

I have been meaning to write about Skyfall for quite sometime now as one of the movies which inspired me to the point of me writing about on this space.

Question given to one Mr.Martin Campbell was how would he reboot a franchise which was reaching the pinnacle of its gimmicky nature and becoming a feast for showing those gadgets and blowing up most of them in a rather clumsy manner in other words make another Golden Eye which started the Pierce Brosnan saga in an awesome way and Mr.Campbell had an answer for that and it was Casino Royale.

As much as everyone says that Dr.No is the best bond movie I would have to disagree on that notion I would pick Casino Royale as the greatest bond movie ever, although we don't have a great villain like the doctor in Casino Royale, Le chiffre with his blood teary eyes hardly makes the cut I agree on that aspect but the movie had its soul driven by Daniel Craig and Eva Green's characters as Bond and Vesper, for instance this scene stands out as my favorite from the Casino Royale.

I would say this totally tops the scene where Sean Connery meets Ursula Andress singing "Underneath the mango tree!!!" in Dr.No.

As much as i praise the awesome nature of the first movie but the follow up to Casino Royale namely Quantum of solace sucked so much, I was perplexed because the movie finished before it even started I wouldn't mind listing it as the worst ever.

I had very little anticipation when i was about to watch Skyfall. As for how I approach a movie I try to shun away from looking at those reviews from the so called critics. I really hate their perspective on something I want to watch my first and only rule of watching movie is if I want to watch a movie or a movie instills my curiosity I will just watch it, thats how I watched the awesomeness of movies like V for Vendetta, Matrix, Pi and most recently Dredd 3D. Before i lost track of the perspective i was trying to paint here I would add something on Skyfall. When i was watching Skyfall I was blown away by the opening sequence and Adele's number.

The attention to detail focussed by Sam mendes on the opening sequence was stunning, if you aren't sure as to what i am trying to convey if you have already watched the movie go over the opening sequence again, you will know what i mean. I have posted on this blog about 7 years ago that Casino Royale's  opening number was the best opening sequence ever but I have to agree that it was knocked out of the park by Adele's number.

Well it's not just the opening song which was a homage to all the old bond movies but the entire movie in itself. I loved the introduction of Q, and loved the personality Ralph fiennes brings to his role and also finally Moneypenny. After the movie i heard that Daniel Craig was slated for 2 movies and no surprise because Skyfall is all about his character. Although i would call this movie a James Bond meets Home Alone story line but the relationship bond has with M is clearly laid out in this movie and how much M trusts him with every single mission even though she wouldn't agree herself.

The series indeed has come back a full circle after all, I have to add in the point that usually Sean Connery movies feature a strong Bond girl character which was seen in Casino Royale as well but the last 2 movies were really bad in that aspect and Bond girl's role in that movie was for show, although i found the soundtracks in Skyfall were intriguing, i mean it was awesome.

For instance that soundtrack the ambience of it was intense, I am really glad that Daniel Craig has signed up for 2 more movies even though he looked so much older in this movie but i think like Skyfall his character would still evolve the old age and continue to enthrall us.

I got so hooked into the movie I got myself my own cup like Q had.

I can't believe they asked me if its related to Samsung S4. I took it with a pinch of salt that most people in the world haven't played scrabble. To be clear as per the letter distribution the points are allotted to the word formed there are just two V tiles which can be used in the game so for a triple letter score V will give 12 points.
